North Cascade River Campsites are located on the Superior Hiking Trail and can be reached by traveling approximately 5 miles west from the SHT Bally Creek Road trail system overnight lot on Bally Creek Rd/158, or parking on Pike Lake Rd/Cty Rd 45 in the SHTA overnight lot and hiking north slightly less then 1 mile. Remoteness, water falls, and steep slopes make care and advanced planning important.
Two campfire areas. Multiple tentpad areas but not many were very flat. Long trudge down a reasonably steep hill to get water. Lots of nice trees to be able to hang a bear bag. While this site is fairly close to a road, it was very quiet.
