We went at a slower time. Our waitress
was amazing. We don’t go out to eat very often. We noticed the food is going down in quality & quantity. We love this location but have noticed a decline. Our biscuits were hard too. They were out of certain menu items and it was only 4:00pm. It was just okay this time.
Always a go to franchise to visit even when coming from out of town! This particular one is my local restaurant. They are generally always friendly and have good service. This time was no exception, even though the were quiet busy. I got the shrimp plate with Mac’n cheese and fried okra,( I forgot the specific name, maybe it’s fried popcorn shrimp platter…) and my friend got the roast beef with steamed broccoli and fried okra.
This particular time was pretty slow, however they were understandably busy on this Tuesday evening.
The store always has awesome stuff and deals for things going out of season. If you see something you like in season wait a month or two and it will be on sale. I will definitely be back soon!
In the past you could always depend on this restaurant for great fresh country cooking and great service. However, it is very obvious they have not recovered from the pandemic. The food is mediocre at best. Feels almost like eating leftovers most of the time currently. The staff is in need of better training.
My wife and daughter had the roast beef. Both were so tough they were not eatable. I also ordered steak fries which were finally brought out after meal was half done. Told lady at register and received an apology. My meal along with my cousins was very good. No complaints other than not getting fries with meal. Really felt I shouldn’t have been charged full price for the 2 roast beef plates. At least we got an apology. Will never patronize this Cracker Barrel again.
It's like every other cracker barrel food wise. I truly don't know how it has 4.3 stars though in regards to the service. I went in as a one person party at 330pm on a Tuesday. Should be a fairly smooth meal. I waited an hour and a half for my food to come out and watched 3 tables that were seated after me get their food and leave. When my food finally came out I only got one of the two sides and the tenders for the combo platter were so burnt I couldn't eat them. I had added a salad and it never came. They never gave me any bread. And not once in the two hours I was here did they refill my water. I would like to say they did take off the things that they never brought me from my check but did not comp my meal in any way despite it not having one of the two sides it should've come with or any bread when it's supposed to have it. They only removed the things I never got AFTER they brought the check with them on there and I had to ask. Never made any effort to comp the meal despite it not having parts that it should've. Might actually be the worst restaurant experience I've had as I don't usually mind waiting, things being wrong, etc. since I've been on the other side of the coin. Terrible service.
