If coming from the east on Hwy 26, past Haystack Mini Mart, turn left onto Hwy 160, cross railroad track, take 2nd or 3rd right turn into Chuck Wagon RV Park office parking area.
This is a place to come if you are not in a hurry. We did not have time to take in the historical sites but would stay here again You could not ask for friendlier hostess. Restrooms were spotless. We were given a loaf of homemade bread when we left. It doesn't get much better than that!
Stopped in with low charge on my EV on way from Scottsbluff to Casper with no EV stations in between. Host let me charge for a few hours off an RV 220V plug (started at 5kwh, stable at 8kwh). Completely saved us from getting stuck before Casper. Thanks so much!!!
The campsite is very nice, and the hostess is very kind and helpful. She even gave me a parting gift of her famous homemade cinnamon bread. The full hook-ups were clean, which was much appreciated, and everything worked as it should. Great little place to stay. Would stay again.
OK/Average... Friendly owners, clean bathrooms, and closest to Fort Laramie National Site, Balanced by very small town , dusty location and right next to mainline tracks with lots of trains day and night. Would we stay here?? Maybe or maybe not and we suggest you make your own decision whether this is a good place to stay. We visited here September 2022.
Loved our one-night stay at Chuck Wagon RV Park. Our plan was to winter camp at Guernsey State Park but none of the campsites were plowed. The Hofrocks were so friendly and accommodating. They opened a spot and welcomed us with open arms. Bathrooms were clean and showers hot. Trains do roll right behind park but it's actually cool and not frequent enough to become annoying -- and I'm not a train person! Fort Laramie National Historic Site is just down the road.
