Best hostel ever! Didn’t know that it’s located inside the park, only 10-minute drive to Jenny lake. You can borrow bikes and bear spray for free. Also the staffs are very nice and helpful!

If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe spot to stay, here it is. There is a wonderful community area where people gather and exchange stories. The cabins are nice, and bathroom facilities are super clean. Everyone there was friendly and ready to help you find a hike or activity that met your needs. Plus you are in the park, so no Long lines!!

I stayed here three nights recently. It's a cool place and in a great setting with nice amenities, and it totally beats the stress of the overcrowded campgrounds and the outrageous lodging prices.

However, unless you go to sleep easily and are a deep sleeper, it's not a great place to sleep. As some other reviewers have noted, people come in at all hours of the night, and even if they're trying to be quiet, the creaky floors negate those efforts.

People leaving really early also seem to make no attempt to minimize the noise they create. One person actually left the cabin door open, shining light into the cabin.

But the biggest issue is the lack of privacy. I stayed in a similar locale in Pinedale, but the bunks were basically crates closed on both ends and with a curtain you could draw across laterally for privacy. So you could read a book or watch a show without the glare intruding on other people's rest, and the teenage girl sleeping across from me wouldn't have been so on display to the middle-aged men in the cabin. How awkward-- my own 16 YO daughter would have been creeped out.

It would be really easy and cheap to implement similar privacy measures. And maybe there should be a gate at the road entrance that gets locked at, say, midnight, so that people can't barge in at 3 a.m. and wake others up. Or at least don't provide check-in info for people arriving that late, requiring them to sleep in their cars instead.

I'd stay there again, but that's because of the dollar value, and I'd bring an extra sheet or curtain to create additional privacy.

It's like you're going back in time, living in a log cabin. Amazing amenities for what you get.

I stayed in cabin 7 north that had a stand up shower and bathroom that was shared with both north and south sides. The beds are large and you'll definitely need a sleeping bag. I did just fine without the sleeping pad. Of the 2 nights I stayed, I happened to have only 1 other roommate and seemed to be a light sleeper. I came back at around 10 and tried my hardest to be very quiet, but with the cabin having all wood floors and beds, it made it incredibly challenging to not make a sound or hear creeks (obviously!). Wouldn't recommend for those who are very light sleepers and have a hard time sleeping in a room with a stranger.

The front desk check in process was thorough and a breeze. Incredibly helpful staff. I wish I would have taken a photo of the list of things they have available for rent as you could get towels, a sleeping bag, an ice axe (wish i would have known this one!), Hiking poles, and a ton of other options. Very reasonably priced (I think to it was $6 to rent an ice axe for the day - bargain). They had the option for laundry for $6 which comes with detergent and all. They even let me borrow bear spray for hiking for free!

Amazing location and value. The bunks and cabins were clean, the staff and other guests are friendly, and the views are unbeatable. My first time staying in a place with this kind of set up and I am definitely staying again next time I’m in town!
