Excellent park. Nice river, large campsites, lots of shade trees which are quite welcome in the summer months. Nice firepits - but use caution to limit the size of your fires for cooking purposes, high fire danger in the dry months. Nice children’s playground and soccer size field within walking distance. Some campers don’t appreciate the natural sounds of the area and have to crank up their boom boxes - very disrespectful to the other campers. We will most likely come back again.
It was a lot better than we thought. We managed to get 43 for the RV in, but it was tight. The camp host was very nice.
Tent and RV sites well spaced with shade, bench, and fire ring. Lighted bathrooms with flush and sink. Good for kids, with close proximity for exploring along Santa Paula creek. For white noise lovers, the creek muffles the adjacent road and neighbor sounds. There's also an aviary and some resident peacocks.
May or may not have gotten lost down the creek for 2-3 hours but Lowkey a lte creek, it's clean, fun, and very accessible
Beautiful little park with a vibrant aviary and picturesque landscapes all around. We did tent camping over Thanksgiving and made good use of the fire pits for cooking and warmth. It's very popular and some other guests were rowdy and ran generators at times we wished they wouldn't, but that's not the park's fault so I won't hold it against it.
