The audacity of you people to block the sunset views of locals in Kona by parking a gigantic ship in front of all the houses is absurd. Your ships are ugly, and I didn't travel 12 hrs to one of the most remote places on the planet to stare at capitalism. Ruiner of vacation views cruises. I waited two years for this trip and now I'm not seeing my sunsets. I hope the ships run aground and everyone gets eaten by sharks.

The good things about the Regal Princess are that the ship is tidy, very clean, most of the staff are very kind and helpful. The less good things. The beds in the cabins are simply horrible and uncomfortable, everything on the ship costs money. The place has become a money pump. Taking money for a bottle of water? The food is mostly monotonous and without any innovation. In short. I will not travel with you anymore.

Yeah Princess has really slipped in my book and we even went through their online booking agent to try and get the best experience. Our Princess agent was alright but we could have gotten more perks through an independent or even Cruiseweb which we have used before. Corporate kept sending us lots of standard issue offers but nothing worth while and even the 50% off for upgrading to Princess Plus package was $60/day still. That only pans out if you drink quite a bit (we sat next to one middle aged couple that downed 3 margarita apiece while chomping on pizza for lunch 😕) and use their internet package at $240. We bought a 30 day ungrade on our phone for $100 but the rest of the package has very little value unless you use it heavily, and we did use the spa/exercise room, bought some overpriced roses at died off on day 4, several specialty dinners, etc..

The food was good in the regular dining rooms ( and the buffet, it's mostly the same) but the staffing was not as good in the past, ( mostly due to un assigned seating, you had a different server every night and so no relationship) it was hard to get an attendant out on the deck or around the pools , I think they're going the way of fast food and using app based systems which save them a lot of money in staffing but leave other customers wanting. We got sucked into a $50 a person upgrade to our room which wasn't much money but didn't add anything to our experience and in the past that kind of offer would be for return cruise customers anyways, which we are. The Entertainment and activities was only so -so. The Crown Princess is getting dated.

This was our anniversary cruise and I put it in the profile but little came of it. In the end I'm glad we booked next years Alaska trip on a competitor with a small family group and I hope it goes better.

The Discovery princess ship is beautiful. Not too overwhelming to get lost but the right balance of choices to keep busy. We are from Canada but have found most people we speak to are return guests from the L.A area because they enjoy it so much.

We have a mini suite with balcony and it has been perfect.

This is our 10th cruisenand have found all people, staff and guests to be the friendliest we have ever traveled with!
