Not much shade and very close campsites. Clean bathrooms. Good fishing, boat rentals. Very well stocked store with convenient hours. Not much in the way of hiking. If you fish and enjoy the restaurant and sleeping in your rig (whatever it may be), I would give this spot a try.

We arrived in the afternoon and our site was easy to find. It was a beautiful campsite backed up to a meadow. Plus, an amazing background of the mountains. It was a short walk to the lake. The sites were spread out far enough that you had privacy.

There was a tent pad that made it easy to anchor the tent. There was also a bear box, fireplace, and picnic table.

Bathrooms had sinks, flushing toilets, and lights. And they were so clean!!!

I would absolutely stay here again.

Nice campground at the end of October. No shade so might be too hot during warmer months. We stayed one night in our RV. View of the mountains and lake with the fall colors were beautiful. Sites were well spaced. Bathrooms were clean and had flush toilets. We’d stay here again when passing through this part of the country.

I loved this camp ground! We stayed at campsite 6. It was located close to a bathroom which was very clean, and offers a beautiful backdrop in all directions. You are a little close (25yd) to other campers so be respectful about being too loud.

I stayed here in late June, the weather was about 75-80 during the day and about 55 at night. My kids (6yo, 12,yo) enjoyed it. I generally car camp so me and my son stayed in my car and my wife and daughter stayed in the tent. The site is elevated off the road way by about 4ft and has a large area. It has a table, bear box, fire pit and plenty of room for a large tent (we used and 8x8).

At sunset we decided to walk the campground. The campground loops around at the end and was a beautiful walk. My son brought his RC truck and loved driving it over the speed bumps and in the brush. Near the end of the trail you can hear the river flowing off Lake Convict and there is a bridge you can check out that crosses it. Multiple times we saw dear roaming the sites too.

I had limited cell signal at the site so if you have little ones bring other forms of entertainment like toys or DVD players.

During the day we rented a boat and hangout on the lake. We fished and relaxed. If you need food, drinks, wood, fishing gear, or souvenirs there is a shop about a 5 minute walk from the marina that offers all of this. They have a little bit of everything and really have some cool shirts that show off convict lake.

Overall, LOVED THIS TRIP AND WILL BE COMING BACK!
