Located along Jackass Creek, Bowler Group Campground offers 12 campsites and a primitive amphitheater. The campground provides one vault toilet and each campsite has a table and fire ring. Horses are permitted; however, facilities are not available.
Take Hwy 41 north from Fresno; continue thru Oakhurst to Road 222. Turn right on Road 222; travel approximately 5.5 miles to the Beasore road, (Forest Road 7) turn left and continue north on Beasore Road approximately 20 miles.
We just stopped here for lunch. Beautiful spot not heavily used. We will be back for camping soon
This campground is beautiful and is pretty high up. It is about 7000 feet up and I made it in a honda accord so it is possible in most cars. We went at the perfect time where we were the only campers in the whole site. The quiet sounds was so peaceful. This is a must if you love camping.
