Panamint Springs Resort is a small, rustic, western-style, resort located in beautiful Panamint Valley in Death Valley National Park that provides lodging, camping and RV services, a restaurant and bar, and a gas station with a well stocked general store. Marvelous views of distant sand dunes and the soaring 11,000 foot high Panamint Mountains complete the setting for leisure dining and relaxation. The resort is located near the western entrance to Death Valley National Park on California Scenic Highway 190.
It's a good location, but the service is not the best. The tent is really basic, just a tent with beds, towels, pillows, & blankets. No electric. The service is the worst. The employees at the gas station weren't helpful at all when we asked questions because they are all seasonal workers that don't know or don't have any information. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars because of the service, but the location and rooms are okay.
I don't recommend the glamping room. Their blanket was as thin as bad covers, and the tent can not be closed with a zipper. So, wind pass into the tent badly. They were very kind but bring your own sleeping bags.
I work for a towing company and go out there often to pickup vehicles and everyone has always been super helpful. No cellphone service for about 30 miles in all directions but the general store has WiFi you can use and so does the restaurant and hotel.
Super cute motel and grill. There camping and rv pitches too. The motel is pretty basic but incredibly picturesque. The grill is open for lunch at dinner until 9 all year around. Also for breakfast but when the park closes, breakfast options are limited to the had station.
Staff are helping and friendly.
Peaceful place to stay.
Didn’t stop in for a room but was passing by and stopped in for a couple cold beers and a sandwich. This establishment is a no frills kinda place but for being in the middle of nowhere it’s certainly an oasis. Service was A+ & I’m definitely looking into rooms next time I’m in the valley.
