This is a way cool spot to camp!! Has fire ring, picnic table, bear proof trash cans, pit toilets. Extremely clean! Just a few miles from the coast.

Fantastic group campground. Has 7 sites for individual tents and one massive site for hanging out. Hasn't had running water since 2018. Has 2 vault toilets.

Good sized campsites. I was the only one there during the week. A little creeped out so I slept in my car instead of setting up the tent. I was woken up around 12:30 to loud laughing and music. People showed up (must have been after 11) and were partying at site right next to mine. I mean, they had the whole place, they could have gone to the other end deeper in if they wanted to party. Felt very uncomfortable (no one else there, no cell service) and obviously wasn't going to get any sleep so I left. Maybe in summer when it's busy it's OK but off season it's dreary and spooky, and considering some of the locals which I got a taste of in town, not very safe feeling.

As of 5/10/23 this campground is closed. Nothing about the closure is posted on the BLM's website or at the junction on the main road - you only find out about the closure when you get to the entrance.

6 campsites all close to parking lot. 2 restrooms! Definitely recommend this camp site if you're looking to be out of the sun. Be careful for mosquitos !
