Description : This is an undeveloped camping area located approximately 15 miles north of Highway 89. There are about 15 user-created sites and a vault toilet. Bring your own drinking water. No fee. Features : This is near the site of an historic guard station. The guard station, which is essentially a cabin, has been restored by the Forest Service, but is no longer part of the Lookouts and Cabins Rental Program. This camp is very popular with hunters in the fall hunting season.
From the McCloud Ranger Station, turn left on SR 89. Go approximately 17 miles to the turnoff for Medicine Lake. Turn left onto Forest road 15 and drive approximately 17 miles to Harris Springs. The campground is on the right side of the road.
The water is nonexistent, the upper sites are covered in downed trees. Fire hazard waiting to burn .
The price is right. $0.00 per knight.
No water is right. The old ranger station has gas lights, instead of electricity and the building is falling apart.
I never did find the the actual campground is there an actual campground. It wasn't where the GPS lead you ?
