Clear Creek campground is a small facility with only 6 campsites. It can accomodate up to a 22 foot trailer and offers picnic tables, fire rings and a vault toilet.
From Weaverville, take hwy 3 north for 34.2 miles. Turn right on County Road 106, crossing over Carrville Bridge. Stay on county road for 13 miles to the French Gulch/Clear Creek Campground junction. Turn left, continue for 2 miles to the campground.
Hell creek and Damnation creek meet here becoming Clear creek....(lol, hell and damnation become clear)...this is literally the crossroads of Hell and Damnation...omfg...roflcopter.
Was out on a motorcycle ride and swung in to the Clear Creek campground. It's a forest service campground with 6 sites that I could see. I was scouting it out for future camping trip off the motorcycle. The sites are spread out, except for a couple at the end. The creek runs along one side. The trees are in good shape, as this area hasn't suffered from the recent fires around the area. I am looking forward to camping here. No potable water source, and there is one toilet for the campground. The road leading into the campground is not too bad.
