From Lovell, WY, take Hwy 14A --Medicine Wheel Passage Scenic Byway-- east for about 35 miles. Turn north onto Forest System Road (FSR) 14 and follow the signs.
One of the best bang for the buck trail/views in the Big Horns. Low elevation change, low to moderate distance, well traveled, very little rocks, great for families. Just an awesome place. I've done this one a few times
This walk is about 3 miles each way. And there is no Sign to say that you have arrived at the falls. You need to walk out on your left to see the falls. We walked right past it the first time and had to turn around. The walk is relatively easy, just plan your time accordingly. It's a beautiful walk.
Easy to moderate hike. Not a lot of climbing, but a long five miles out and back to the vista. Vista is stunning, even in the rain.
Nice hike in and out to view the waterfall from afar. When you get to the fences, you need to go out on the rocks at the viewpoint to actually see the falls. You will also see a big canyon too.
We did this hike in September. Trail was in good shape. Views were good on the hike out and back and of the falls and canyon.
