One of my favorite places in the world! Camping in the middle of nowhere. About an hour drive on dirt roads but I had no problem getting there with a front wheel drive car in dry conditions. I got plenty of nasty looks from people in off road vehicles lol! Multiple campsites with fire rings and bench. outhouse down the hill by the stream. I want to go back here again.
Beautiful campground! No fee. Right on the river. Sites are on a first come first served basis.
Be aware that you will literally have no service, which might be just what you want.
Notes:
- Gets really cold at night.
- Allows dogs
- There are gendered bathrooms, pit toilets, but in a building with lockable doors
- There are additional camp sites up a trail, but you have to haul in your gear since vehicles aren't allowed back there
