Clean, quiet, fair pricing. Excellent for family get togethers, weddings, family & retirement camping. Fishing where Hersey River meets the Muskegon. Tubing if you bring your tubes...excellent managers who tend to all your cares. Beautiful River views, paths to walk and rails to trails nearby.
The campground host was very hospitable and friendly, they would bend over backward if they could to help you. It is very close to the Perre Marquette trail so a great place to camp while bike touring. The restrooms are very clean and it is right on the Hersey river so fishing is an option.
I was pleasantly surprised with this campground. I stayed for just one night in the "rustic" site in a tent. I called to make a reservation, but the reservation system is so informal that I was worried that I wouldn't get a spot. The person I talked to told me it's first-come-first-serve, but also took down my name? Anyway, even on a Friday night I got a site next to the river and didn't have anyone on either side of me. This is one of the quietest campgrounds I've ever stayed in. It's was silent after about 10 pm. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. To check in and pay, you visit the host. Price was very affordable.
Our family reunion was held there. I recommend this park clean wish I had known about it when I was camping
