I came North this holiday to escape the city but moreso because I have a dog that id terrified of fireworks.
This is a beautiful Northern Michigan campground that is surrounded by groves of tall pines. There's a great pool house and pool. Its been a wonderfull relaxing and quiet campground despite it the 4th of July... And not a single firework... for miles around. Thank you for keeping it quiet in the park.
And a big THANK YOU for being open and such an enjoyable vacation. It was refreshing. ... And Benjamin, my dog, thanks you too! 🐶
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND this campground. 5 Stars (I'd give 10 stars if I could)
We are staying here for the summer in our 35' fifthwheel. The grounds are beautifully manicured, beautiful pool and hot tub at clubhouse and great laundry facilities. This park caters more to adults. As a travel nurse we have been in many many rv parks and this one is up in the top 3! And did I say John and Bonnie are wonderful hosts/ owners. Lovely people!
Loved our stay at vista green! We were looking for a late in the season stay after our plans booked over a year in advance fell through. This was recommended by another rv park in traverse city when I was asking for places to stay and I’m so thankful we found this gem! Spacious sites, well maintained pool, nice guests, wonderful little walking trail / nature trail. Very fair pricing for the area for monthly stays. We’d absolutely come back again, we loved our time here! The owners are so kind and while there are a lot of rules - this is the CLEANEST park I have ever stayed at which makes the rules well worth it in my mind.
Really appreciated that they allowed dog fencing as long as it was moved for the mowers as this weights heavily on our decisions to stay at a location. Also had really good tmobile service, arguably the only place in the traverse city area with good tmobile service! About 30 min from Costco, target, grocery stores for a quick trip into town.
The RV park is quiet and well cared for. The spots all have concrete slabs with concrete patios and a picnic table. Most are fairly level, but some leveling may still be required. The spots are reasonably spacious with grass in between - you don't feel like you're on top of each other. The staff was very friendly on check-in. The park is an easy 25-30 minute drive to Traverse City. Be prepared for traffic in and close to Traverse City. At least during the month of August. This RV park is far enough away from the activity of Traverse City, yet not isolated. Very little traffic noise which was not disturbing at all compared to some other RV parks. It really was peaceful and quiet staying here. I have stayed at MANY RV parks/resorts. This is one of the better ones. If you have small children, there isn't a whole lot for them to do. I stayed the week of August 6th, and there were quite a few open spots that were never occupied while I was here. In fact, in my row of 11 back in spots I was the only occupant. The row across from me only had one RV in that row.
I highly recommend Vista Green RV Resort.
Beautiful campground with spacious sites and very accommodating hosts! Stayed here from May to October during an RN travel assignment in Traverse City. All roads and sites are paved. Large walking areas. Wifi, heated pool, laundry facilities and game rooms for adults and kids. Any concerns we had during our stay were addressed immediately. Would highly recommend this resort!
