The only Disc Golf course on the Huron-Manistee National Forests, this 18-hole course is designed to professional standards. There is a stairway that leads down to the river for those wishing to fish. The area is named for the Udell Slide, which was used in the 1900's to slide logs into the Manistee River for floating to mills in Manistee.
From Manistee - * Travel east on M-55 for 11.5 miles. * Turn left and travel north on Horseshoe Bend Rd. for 2 miles. * The road terminates at the site.
This would be a great Disc course if there were any kind of maintenance done. Everything is overgrown.
Disc golf course is tight fairway wooded with mostly shorter holes. Going from hole 9 to 10 is a weird walk you have to go right through other holes. All in all though not a bad place to play if wanting accuracy practice
Neat park, disc golf course has really tight fairways, I don't think it's regularly maintained. Don't forget the bug spray!
If you’re not a disc golfer there isn’t much here. The view is nice but there is quite an extensive set of stairs going down to the river. A couple historical plaques but not much else.
