Take U.S. Highway 70 west from Safford, travel 15 miles NW on Highway 70 to the Aravaipa-Klondyke Road. Turn left and proceed 32 miles SW to Klondyke; turn left and follow the Fourmile Canyon Road about 1/2 mile to the campground. Driving time from Safford is approximately 1 hour.
Great restroom, nice sites. The campground itself isn't amazingly beautiful but it is conveniently close to things that are.
Campground was nice and clean. We stopped here on our way to wilderness area nearby.
Have camped there 4 times now while hunting. They have water year round and decent toilets. Primitive sites. Nominal $5 fee for use.
About 8 or so campsites. Always a light use area in our past three trips. Not much for shade as many of the trees were hurt by past drought. Close to Aravaipa. Take some ATV trails for many beautiful views as there is alot of public land nearby. Please respect the local ranchers as more seem to be locking land access gates.
We had the place to ourselves.... on a weekend. $5 a night, 19 sites with lots of trees, fire pits, picnic tables (not covered) and nice bathrooms. Not sure if water is available as we had our own. Be prepared to share the campground with numerous cattle and bring your own firewood. Head south and drive up Deer Creek road for access to the Galiuro wilderness. Stop when you reach the Coronado forest marker (photo provided).
