We know the area well, and often camp at the various BLM sites there. You need to be flexible as it is first come, first served, but somewhere there is usually a site available. They are generally well maintained and most folks leave their sites clean. Those who don't should be strung up by their heels and left to dry in the sun as a warning. Pack it in! Pack it out! Leave it cleaner than you found it!
This place is very nice small and only about five or six campgrounds but definitely a little hidden gem the trails are in good condition for the most part and you could probably drive a four-wheel drive truck on most if not all of them so for ATVs and utvs and dirt bikes it's a great little place to begin a wonderful adventure
After a 25 mile bumpy road you come to condon peak campground. It has 5 sites no water or trash but very nice campsites. It also has a clean pit toilet and very clean areas. The cost is nominal 5 bucks for 7 days and half that with a disabled access card. The place has great views and very quiet on the weekdays. There are great off roading areas there and people are respectful. The only cons about the place is no water and a bumpy paved road to get there
