Been out here multiple times and I always see lots of wildlife, just never what I'm hunting for. Well maintained roads and the parking is abundant. Gets a little crowded during deer season but try to go on a week day and you'll have better luck.
Excellent place to explore forest and wildlife management. As long as you have the proper license and/or permit (just to enter can be as easy as having a fishing license or a use permit, for example, either of which can be purchased quickly on your phone), you can drive through acres of differently managed sites, connected by excellently maintained paths. Also great opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, catching sight of wildlife, etc. I most enjoy the longleaf restoration sites.
When it first opened several years ago it was a beautiful place to visit a lot of pristine Forest. They have since done a lot of Select cutting and deforestation and controlled Burns. Like the other Wildlife Management areas it is not disabled handicapped friendly and there is also ample roads that could be opened just for the disabled and handicapped.
Coming from out of town first time ever hunting public, and I can say it's very well kept up with, a good amount of land and the manager is nice as well!
