Excellent place to explore forest and wildlife management. As long as you have the proper license and/or permit (just to enter can be as easy as having a fishing license or a use permit, for example, either of which can be purchased quickly on your phone), you can drive through acres of differently managed sites, connected by excellently maintained paths. Also great opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, catching sight of wildlife, etc. I most enjoy the longleaf restoration sites.
