Snooty RV park won't let me book because my RV is less than 26' in length. No wonder you have so much availability. You don't let people in.

If you can make the drive up the mountain I would recommend BBS. After a long haul from Vegas and up the backside of the mountain from Barstow it was a relief to pull in and get the warmest welcome we have had in sometime. We were greeted by a beautiful smiling young lady that checked us in. Once that was done we were given a gift bag with treats and ice cream. This doesn’t sound like a lot but after battling triple digit heat for weeks and fighting hair pin turns, switchbacks and ascending more than 4,000 feet in 30 miles this was just what we needed. The resort is really clean as are the facilities. The laundry takes quarters only. The pool and spa are open and very clean. There is no water access from the resort tho, water level is really low. I was on site 4, which was a little ran down but everything worked. Thank you Big Bear Resort for a great time and thank you for the hospitality.

Be careful renting or buying. We have rented here and now own. Most people are nice and the location is AMAZING, but for some their primary focus watching for HOA violations. We got a letter for someone (not us) washing their muddy shoes with a hose. What exactly are you supposed to do with muddy shoes...take them to a dry cleaner? Good lord, show some flexibility people. Also, renters have been cleared by the rental office for the length restriction (26 feet) only to have other staff people measure them (again) and get kicked out after setting up. PLEASE be careful if you are close to 26 feet...bring your exact vehicle length, make and model, etc. So sad if they turn you away after driving that far.
