In Forest, MS, at the intersection of I-20 and State Rt. 35, take Rt. 35 south 6.7 miles to Marathon Recreation Area sign. Turn left at sign onto State Rt. 892 East and go 5.8 miles to a stop sign. Continue straight for 3 miles to a campground sign. Turn right at sign onto County Rt. 520 and go 0.3 miles to campground on left.
My family has enjoyed this Lake for now 3 generations. The camping spots are the best and feature grills, fire pits, patio areas and so much more. The campground host and hostess are the best. Tommy helped us choose a spot so that we could be in close proximity to our daughter. Can't wait for our next trip.
Absolutely love this place!! It was recommended by a friend and fell in love with it. Bathrooms were clean the camp areas were well kept up. Owners were friendly. Great time with family and fun for the adults and kids. Highly recommend this location to anyone that ask about it. You can fish, swim and grill and just enjoy nature on a walk around the site
Marathon is very pretty and peaceful. The ground keeper was very nice also.
