This Campground is quiet and secluded, A beautiful place to unplug and take in the scenery.
No reservation needed
Great dry camping with vault toilet. No cell service. Gravel road going in but good shape.
Camped here Friday May 17 2019 . And would just like to say it was enjoyable but would have been a lot better if the people who camped at our site before us are pretty inconsiderate people.
We had to clean up trash from the people before us it was a mess. chicken eggs threw all over the area, Broken chair left on top of fire pit, cans left in fire pit, Plastic forks left strung all over ground.
AEP is doing a good thing here and I think it is pretty sad that people are to lazy to clean up their area when they leave. How would they like it if someone came to their house and left trash and a big mess on their property.
To bad I didn't know who did this or I would have reported them. Something good happens and someone uncaring person has to ruin it. At least be considerate enough to clean your site for the next people just plain being considerate.
Loved it! Great place to get "unplugged". We had almost no cell service unless we went down the road about 10 miles. So nice to hear nothing but the bullfrogs croaking, fish jumping, and great conversation with my family :)
Very simple weekend get-away. Printed off and signed the permit, but didn't have a visitor from any rangers that caused us to need it. Arrived on a late Saturday morning at the Bicentennial campground and was able to secure a spot. Recommend arriving earlier to get the lakeside spots though. Nice scenic views. Vault toilets were clean, but they are what they are. Highly recommended if you are into boondocking. No cell service on Verizon - great way to force yourself to unplug.
Nice campground. Nice level dirt road heading into it. Overlooking a beautiful lake . First come first serve.
