We are located in Pendleton County, West Virginia near the highest point of our beautiful mountain state: Spruce Knob. We are approximately 4 miles from Spruce Knob Lake. We are situated directly across from the Experience Learning entrance (Woodlands Way). There are many outdoor activities to do in the area such as hiking on nearby trails, biking, boating, hunting, and fishing!

Nice and clean camp. We really liked to stay here because it was in the forest and we were looking for something quite.
There is no signal but you actually don't need it. The owners were really nice and helpful. You can get a dry wood for purchase what is great because day before was rainy all day so we couldn't get any wood in the forest.
We didn't like that the camp is pet friendly because everyone had a dog there and they were barking from early morning.
What a hidden gem!!! If you want a peaceful, serene, off the beaten path stay, for a great price, you've found it. Eber, is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond for his guests. He's the absolute best!!! I've traveled alot and I've yet to stay at a nicer campground.
The RV and tent sites are cozy and well-kept. Larger trees offer nice shade for the tents while still showing some sunshine through. He offers seasoned/dry firewood for $7 a bundle or 3 bundles for $20. He also sells ice. We camped in a tent for one night and used three bundles for the evening and three for the morning (as I cooked breakfast). The fire pits are great, offering a nice grill to put skillets and pots on. Each site even offers electricity and there's a central water pump! The lots are nice gravel and flat.
The campground is very close to the lake (smaller, no swimming), but great for fishing/kayaks/hiking/stargazing. And if you're looking for amazing views, you must check out Spruce Knob, highest point in WV. Make sure to take the short trail around the knob. It was better than the observation tower. It's also close to Seneca Rocks/Nelson Rocks, and a short drive from Blackwater Falls. Not to mention the beautiful sunrise/sunset/star-gazing right from the mountain-top campground! We can't wait to come back in the fall next year and this will be our go-to campsite for the rest of our WV camping adventures! Thank you Eber for an amazing/peaceful stay in your little piece of heaven! ❤
Had a wonderful 3 night stay tent camping here in early October. The owners were so attentive and helpful and checked in every evening (but not obtrusive). Easy access to electric and water spigot. The pit toilets were as pleasant as pit toilets can be (toilet paper was provided which is very nice). Great big picnic table was near our site and fire pit that you could move around were great. Very peaceful and the leaves were beginning to change. Would definitely camp here again if in the area.
The owner was super nice and friendly the outhouse bathrooms were the nicest out of any outhouses I’ve used.😂 I had about two bars of AT&T enough to look stuff up, call people, and get directions. It is about a 10-15 minute drive from spruce knob lake not much of price difference but you get electric, clean outhouse, and a place to buy firewood if you run out. Definitely want to plan another trip to see the leaves change and would 10/10 go to this campsite again. (We came August 14-16th 2023)
Most people mentioned the host of the campground and how can you not?? He was very welcoming and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. We arrived in a few inches of snow and he made sure we were okay pulling in and with our water hook up (for an RV). There weren't many people around and I very much enjoyed the quietness of the area.
It was very close to Spruce Knob and great hikes.
The only downfall was that there was ZERO service. It was hard getting around and even leaving because my phone wouldn't work.
