6 campsites in the canyon carved by Belt Creek in the Little Belt Mountains. Fishing for brook trout in the creek. The Belt Creek Information Center is just to the north of the campground, and trails to the east of the visitor center connect to an extensive trail system.
From Great Falls, go 50 miles south on US 89
A definite favorite for me. The river runs next to it. If there aren’t too many people cooling off, you can catch rainbow trout.
The campground and river was great...but they never checked the restrooms and we went 2 days without them refilling toilet paper😡
Loved that they let people camp when they weren't technically open! Bathrooms were well kept. Beautiful campspots by the river.
