Beautiful newly constructed campground with camper cabins, even campsites and hike in tent sites surrounded by national forest and managed by Arkansas State Parks.

The new cabins and campground are all amazing. Absolutely top notch. Don’t pay attention to any reviews made before March 22 as the whole site has been remodeled and is amazing. One of the best campgrounds in the state of Arkansas. Definitely my favorite cabins.

Nice campground. Everything has been re-done. I agree with the other reviewer about the street lights. There are way to many. The lights on outside of the bathhouse are extremely bright. It's so strange to be at a rural, isolated campground and not be able to see the stars at night. The bathrooms were very nice. Each bathroom has a toilet, since & shower. I used my AT&T Hotspot for internet. Our cell phones DID NOT work there. I only got one bar but was able to get about a 20 Mbps download which got me through a conference call. It was a long drive to stores, so keep that in mind.

Also the website says you have to go to the visitor's center to check in. That's not true if you pre-register. They tell you to call when you are about an hour away. The road to the visitors center is hilly and winding.

We stayed in a camper cabin and it was a wonderful experience. The bathrooms were the nicest and cleanest we have experienced at a camp site. The bathhouse has four bathrooms (sink, toilet, and shower). They were stocked with soap and toilet paper. The showers had good water pressure and hot and cold water.

The camper cabins have electricity, heat and AC, table, five chairs, queen bed, bunk beds with twin mattresses, small table for storage, screened in porch with two chairs and a small table. Outside has a fire pit, grill, picnic table, and pole with hooks. There is a water spigot.

Close by is the trash cans and bathrooms. Also at the bath house is a water fountain, water bottle refill, bike racks, and tools for bike repair.
