Backseated it through there during a hangxiety episode, so that place surely did look like hell cruising from Top of the World to Superior, AZ.
The Economist 3/19/23, covered the Apache court battle to shut down the copper mining on this sacred land. The thought is that the case will make it to the Supreme Court, which has supported cases of religious freedom. I highly recommend a visit. The canyon and journey to the stream at the bottom is breathtaking and I love returning here to commune with Mother Nature.
