This park is the absolute closest to the beach you can get, just a short walk over the dune. Fast check in and escort to my site AND they delivered a fire ring and wood to my site. All the sites are level, all back in. Excellent, friendly service. Not sure about other reviews that said otherwise but my experience with the owner and his staff was great, no complaints.
We stayed at this park two-thirds of the way through our 32 day cross country trip from Minnesota and we are so happy we chose Andersens. We had the opportunity to talk to the owners and both were very friendly and helpful. Others have already commented on the easy access to the beach and short drive to town. I find the complaints some have wrote to be quite odd. If you don't like sand, don't book a site on a beach. And to those complaining about the rules and extra charges, did you not read them before you booked your stay? I appreciated the rules and did not find them overbearing. Not all parks/campgrounds are for everyone. Andersens is for us. If we ever find ourselves back on the west coast we will certainly stay there again.
This RV Park is the closest to the water. There is a walking trail to the beach. There are long RV spaces. Each space has full hook ups and a picnic table. Restaurants and shopping in town. We would definitely come back again for another stay. The Owners are very nice and helpful.
We reserved a site at this RV Park so we could go clam digging after Thanksgiving. We received no confirmation for our reservation but our credit card was charged immediately. We had stayed at this park several times under the previous ownership. We tried to amend our reservation for an extra night but were unable to contact anyone by phone and our emails went unanswered. We were unable to make any changes online as advised in their phone message because we had no confirmation number. When we arrived at the park we asked the parking assistant for the best way to communicate with them. His response was email. When we told him we had no response to our emails. He would let the owner who was on-site know and Milt would probably want to talk to us. He never made an attempt to talk to us. Additionally, the landing pad for our steps was now a sandbox rather than gravel as in our previous visits. This meant that we tracked in sand in our coming and goings. When we cleaned our clams, we found the cleaning station to be disgusting. The floor and counter were covered with feces. The stainless steel sinks were rusted and nothing appeared to have been cleaned. Also the restrooms were locked with a key so we could not even wash our hands. We will never return to this park. There are many other options on the Peninsula that would be happy to have our business.
Super cute cottages with full-size kitchens and steps away from the beach. Literally. You walk across the dunes and you’re there. The community is great. Long Beach is awesome and the owners have thought of everything. I am told they are about to remodel these cottages, but they’re already cute and already worth it. Great family!
