Fun, pet and family-friendly RV campground nestled in the Cascade Mountains offering RV sites and tent sites. We're located near the entrance to the world famous North Cascade National Park in the foothills of the Cascades. This is a small park surrounded by phenomenal views of the North Cascade Mountains. All sites are grass, some are under trees, and we also have nice grass tent sites available. A wooded park-like area is located behind the campsites for dog walking and nature walks.
Located 40 miles from Sedro-Woolley, 87 miles from Winthrop, 122 miles from Vancouver, B.C., and 113 miles from Seattle. From the West the park is located 1.7 miles from Marblemount between mileposts 108 and 109. Coming from the Eastern side of the mountains it is 87 miles from Winthrop, WA. We are 12 miles from the National Park visitor center.
Did not start out great at all. The site we originally booked was double booked, so they called and moved us. No problem with that. The problem was, we originally booked site 13 a 50 Amp hookup, we were moved to site 14 a 30 Amp hookup, great thing we had our adapter. This was also a pull through site for a 31-foot trailer. There is no way to pull a 31 ft trailer around to this site. We had to back in. Once we fought to get backed in, we started the hook up. we noticed the water spigot was directly next to the electrical outlet. How on earth passed any kind of inspection? I have no idea. (Picture below)
The rest of our stay was uneventful. We were in the town most of the time, and it's not too far from the shopping district of Leavenworth. The only problem we had was trying to turn left to go to the town was kinda difficult with the location and the amount of traffic on the road though there. Luckily, we had a site in the middle and not up against the main roadway because even at night, the traffic was loud and almost non-stop. This campsite is great for a one night stop or if you plan to do what we did and spend most of your day out doing things. If you plan on staying at the camp and you have children, I recommend the KOA behind the safeway, which will most likely be where we stay next time we visit Leavenworth.
How this place has 4 starts is beyond me. Our campsite backs to be highway (we were in site 17). It only has electric hookup. You are so crammed in here we have to coordinate with our neighbors to get out of here in the morning. Not even a picnic table. Just gravel lot with some trees. The staff will answer the phone but are not on site so make sure you have all the info you need prior to getting here. Bathrooms were decent but no hot water and the handle was a compression wrench. My dad stayed at icicle river rv park, it is amazing. Made this place look like a dumpster fire (which it Kind of is).
Great location which is an obvious. Customer service is amazing. You could call on a Tuesday or wensday night at 10pm for a simple question and get friendly service. Definitely recommend to anyone with a mobile home in the area. Would visit again.
The campsites are nice but a bit snug with your neighbors for sure. The quiet hours are NOT enforced whatsoever. We stayed for two nights in a row and both nights there were other composites that were loud enough for us to hear their conversation up until about midnight (quiet hours at 10 pm). The second night they were blasting music too. The camp host did nothing even after being contacted. We felt quite frustrated because we planned a trip we could afford in order to visit the hiking we wanted to see and the sweet town of Leavenworth. This meant spending $100 for two nights of camping, compared to a hotel stay where we would’ve spent beyond our means but been listened to. I understand family fun late at night but there was no respect from other campers and the park manager didn’t do anything about it. There were even campers just parked in random spots that weren’t campsites—had we known this was allowed I guess we should’ve just saved the $100’for gas and groceries and parked for free!! Overall it’s an okay site. Wouldn’t stay here again
Leavenworth is a fantastic experience, but this campground wasn't quite as awesome.
Another camper had taken our site because the signage is not clear at all. The hosts had painted the dirt to show where they should have parked, but even then - it was difficult to follow the directions.
The hosts were great about getting us into a different spot, with a bonus that it was a pull-through, but it was electric only. No water, no septic, and not level. And right up against the main highway, so it wasn't particularly quiet. We were told we could use the sani-station at the campground a few minutes away.
Bathrooms and showers were ok - pretty tired but fairly clean.
Location wise - this is pretty good. There's super-healthy grocery store next door, and a supermarket across the street.
