Okay, we bought a new camper and thought we’d take advantage of the free week of camping that went along with the purchase. We knew that to qualify for the free week we’d need to listen to the sales pitch, but it was a beautiful day and we were told the resort was amazing. On the positive side, the folks we met with were very nice people and the pitch wasn’t high pressure. I can even see how it might fit some lifestyles as there are some 200 plus affiliated campgrounds. Just not for us. My review is strictly relative to this campground. Not sure where to begin, so I’ll just start with the roads. All the roads were gravel, I can’t imagine the dust on a busy weekend. Many of the sites were unpaved and the overwhelming majority did not have sewage. (There are 4 dump stations) There is no WI-FI, no biggie but for some it is. The majority of the trees in the campground were some type of overgrown Christmas pine tree, and
they looked half dead. For the life of me I cannot see how people can give this park a 5 star rating or how it could be referred to as a luxury resort.
Amenities were great. Nice pools. We were at the top (site 944) of the hill as those were the only sites that had full service. The campsite was HORRIBLE!!!! Small and uneven. Stepped out of the camper and site was going downhill. Site looked like it hadn't been mowed in a long time. Very long grass. Dump trucks continuously going past our site starting at 8 am to complete future sites further up the hill. Would not recommend going there if you need full hook up.
Went camping here for two weeks. Had a great time, they have two outdoor pools and an indoor pool Mimi gulf tennis playground paddle boats kayaks and canoes. Nine bath houses with laundry rooms
The camp site was good size. Some area's were to crowded. To many permanent sites that made it like camping in the city. Nice pond. Site's need to be leveled out where you park campers. Some canpers were 2 feet balanced on narrow blocks! That can't be safe. They didn't enforce the quiet time. Site's had music going well past 2am.
I must say this place is by far my favorite campground! The staff have been very polite, friendly and accommodating. I love everything about this campground and the people who camp there are also very friendly. Beautiful campground all around! I can't say there is anything I didn't like about it. I don't have a membership (yet) but would love another opportunity to camp there next year if possible. Thank you Allegheny Mountain Resort for making my camping experience the very best it can be! God Bless!
Very truly yours,
