From I-65 (exit 22): Go 300 yards W on Sailor Rd, then 1/7-10 mi N on Creola Axis Creek Loop, then 2-1/2 mi E on Dead Lake Rd.
Beautiful location, but sadly the walkway is closed which I didn't see advertised anywhere before we visited. It was a let down. The place itself seems nice and well taken care of, but it was disappointing to drive a long way only to find out our reason for visiting wasn't open.
I only rated a three because river walkways were closed for maintenence. Place looked clean and nice and open. We didnt stay but definitely put on our list
It was off season so all amenities not open. Friendly staff
This landing does not flood, the slope is shallow and the water deep enough for most fishing boats. Bathrooms are clean, picnic benches are available with a nice nature walk. Everyone treated our dogs and us with respect and were friendly.
