Admiral’s Cove Resort offers the most inclusive and exclusive accommodations on the sandy beaches of Lake McConaughy. Take a dip in the lake, enjoy our sandy beach, or relax at the water’s edge and soak up the sun’s rays on our large sundeck.
Enjoy our casual yet elevated beach club fare at Cove Restaurant & Lounge, where you will find Executive Chef Eric Stumpf concocting an eclectic mix of American fusion foods ranging from local filet mignon and ribeyes to shrimp scampi, hand-wrapped bacon jalapeno poppers to street tacos, and much more. The restaurant is open every night during the season and is accompanied by the friendliest and fastest bartenders on the lake. Join us for a “Lada Colada” Cove classic cocktail, a beachside Manhattan, or just a damn cold Busch Light draught!

Been coming here once a year for the last few years when I go to Lake McConaughy. Everything I have had is wonderful but of note is the patty melt. Best I have had in all my travels! Service is always impeccable. The place is always Immaculate with a nice outdoor seating space and the restrooms are very clean.
Great location and good food. Been going for years, love the live music. They could use more staff and a better kids menu. I know it's hard to find employees but the poor staff have too many tables and often get overwhelmed. Be prepared to wait.
The staff was excellent, they met our needs with a smile.
I went in knowing this was a 2 star resort, and I am reviewing it based on that in mind.
It is similar to visiting your 90 year old Grandma's Lake cabin old but maintained. It is clean, inside it has a fresh coat of paint and the rooms were large. The cabinetry, beds, and tub/shower were well used but functional and clean.
We rented room 11. It had a basic set of pans, dishes, and dinnerware. There was a drip coffee maker, toaster, fridge with freezer, and microwave. There was a trash can, and we were provided extra bags, dishwashing soap, sponge, and kitchen towel.
The bathroom had bar soaps, towels, and wash cloths. When we left out wet towels out on the floor of the bathroom while we were out during the day, they were refreshed, so we were never without clean towels. There were 2 air-conditioning wall units, and they worked well and kept our room cool.
We had a small issue with a wiggly table, and it was addressed right away.
It was wonderful to be within walking distance of the beach.
We brought our food so we didn't visit the restaurant but because we were there Sunday-Wed it was quiet and peaceful.
We did visit the general store, and the staff was wonderful, and the items were fairly priced.
Our family will return, but probably bring our own pillows.
I stayed here last summer with my mom. The room was dated and kind of falling apart, though the staff was friendly. The location is great and I would recommend staying here if you aren't going to spend a lot of time inside. The food was good too but the prices were a bit high. For this area, this is probably as good as it gets.
