We were very happy staying at Sage Motel in Harrison, NE. Our goal was to see the country around the region and our location was perfect for this objective. It isn't fancy but it had everything that we needed, a small diner next door (with good food), and it was very affordable. Our room was clean. Additionally, there were horses on the premises that we enjoyed watching. The owners were very nice and it truly felt like a country "home". I felt very safe and comfortable there. We will stay there again on future travels to Northwest NE. There is so much more to explore around the area!

My family and I recently stayed in a place called Fort Robinson. It's on the Northwest corner of Nebraska and South Dakota. Our family is quite large and had booked up all the rooms available at the campground. We were forced to stay at a place called Harrison Nebraska. It's located approximately 26 miles West of Crawford. This is small town USA! We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received from Dusty and Lou when we arrived. The rooms were clean and there is a decent diner right next door. For U country folks this is a great place to wind down and relax on a quick travel through that area. For you city folks this is a wonderful place to experience the wildlife and nature associated with the country. Beautiful green rolling hills, cool breezes and meadowlarks wishing you a good morning. Don't expect to have great cellphone service etc. but with the horse stable where they raise Arabians in the back you can experience the true country lifestyle. Had such a good experience we plan on returning.

This room was very dirty! No air conditioning. Just fake ac units in windows that you can't use(see pictures) NO HOT WATER. More than 1/2 the lights don't work. TVs from the 90s, stains in carpets. Dirty mirrors. Car air fresheners hanging in room to try to hide smells. Miss match towels. Fake air conditioner makes it so you can't open windows making it uncomfortably hot and stuffy all night. This place hasn't been updated since 1989 and maybe the last time it was cleaned. This is by far the worst place I've ever stayed. I would have been better off sleeping in the car.

My daughter and her fiancé were caught in the horrible road conditions due to weather. I called to get them a room and the person who assisted me was very kind and helpful. My daughter said everyone that worked there was amazing and they even had homemade pumpkin bread and pancakes! So thankful they were open late and had a room available!

Stayed here while exploring the Nebraskan pandhandle with a friend two years back. An interesting guy runs the place, very friendly and was able to get us a room when we called later in the day for a great price. Stay here if you love unique little out-of-the-way hotels. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area... and the area is very pretty! If you have the time take a visit to GH Coffee Park just north of Harrison. Our vehicle couldn't make it down the road to the park the entire way (4WD preferred) but the walk to it from where we parked was beautiful. Go for it :)
