11 miles from tanking and fun at Calamus Outfitters
Great little camp ground, a short drive from the lake. Has small river to fish/wade in on property. Pull through, full hookups (50 amp). Has 2 showers as well, for those that need them. It's a newer Campground, so not a ton of shade/trees, but pretty views.
Our family loves Fort Knox, so many friendly campers and the owners are fabulous! The kids loved the river access and the proximity to Calamus is a huge bonus. We're looking forward more weekends at Fort Knox.
Fort Knox is a great place to camp! We love that it is so close to the lake and the beauty of the Sandhills is all around you. The people are flexible and work hard to make it a fun, safe camp ground!
We had a wonderful experience at Fort Knox Campground last weekend. Of course, b/c it's a new campground, there is no shade b/c the trees are all small, but the camp hosts are more than accommodating and the bathrooms are nice. Once the showers are working, this place will be perfect!
Spent 5 days at Fort Knox Campground during the burwell rodeo. Amazing campground with full hookups! Camp host were very nice and helpful. Owners were also very accommodating. They have ice cream available and food trucks on weekends. Will definitely be going back in the future!!
