Absolutely love this campground!! It's my new go to when wanting to come down the shore!! Love having the best of both worlds and it's a 15 minute ride to the wildwood boardwalk!! Not to mention it's conveniently around everything. Malls, food, gas all within a 5 min ride. And the price for the campground for the season at 55/54 per night is a steal!!
We were supposed to stay at their sister campground King Nummy. They gave us a spot there that was too small for our rig and did not have any spots open. So they sent us to Acorn campground. Best decision. Sites were so much bigger and nicer. Office staff was wonderful. We will stay there again.
I wouldn't recommend this campground. It was the low-light of our entire trip. Bathrooms and shower house were in poor condition. Three of the five commodes were out of order. Plumbing parts laying on the ground and the out of order signs were collecting dust and cobwebs. No hand dryers or paper towels for the three days we were there. Sinks and showers were gross, insects everywhere. Laundry room was just as bad. On the plus side, the place was quiet and it felt safe. 2 stars. Owner asked for in-depth feedback a week ago but I got no response, we'll see if they chime in here.
I was not happy with the condition of the camp site when compared to the fee that is charged. My electric hookup was in a very inconvenient spot. The water hookup was broken and could not be used. The showers in the bathhouse are in dire need of updates. There is no "pad" for your camper. No blacktop or stones, just dirt and sparse grass/weeds. At $56/night I expected better! I usually go to State Parks that are in better shape and at half the price.
They have a pool and a game room, neither of which I used. I prefer a nicer campsite that is well maintained with everything kept in working order.
I will say that the staff was very friendly and polite. No problems there.
