This RV park is exactly why I love going back and visiting my home state of Oklahoma. All the people in the park are friendly and offer any kind of help needed. Hell, the day I arrived the neighbor noticed I didn't have an extra vehicle and offered to drive me any where I needed to go.
I have read reviews here negatively mentioning the owner of the park Donna. I found these to extremely false. Donna was pleasant, friendly, and nothing but helpful to me. She does have that old school, my way or the highway, attitude but that's why the RV park is in such great shape.
This truly is a hidden gem. Hidden because my parent have lived 2 minutes away from it for 13 years and we didn't even know it existed.
Pros: Ownership, Friendly neighbors, Clean, Quiet, Safe, The best priced park I've ever been to.
Cons: Nothing is perfect though and if you're a business traveler that needs high speed internet you are going to struggle here. The internet works but it's sporadic and very slow. But to be fair I was parked in a great secluded space so that might have played into the internet. It is also Blanchard, Oklahoma and the internet in this rural area, even at my parent house, leaves a ton to be desired.
Overall if you are looking for a park that is safe, clean, and a slice of the American dream of wide open spaces and friendly folks this is the park for you.
Fantastic Staff, and owners, a one stop shop .... Great RV spots, plenty of shade, they fill propane. There is a gate to keep out the hoodlums, all at great rates!
This place has some of the most asinine rules ever for an RV park. You can’t just back your trailer in yourself, you can’t hook up the water hose yourself, all that has to be done by a park “employee” (family member). Also if you actually travel with your camper you need to plan on getting to the RV park before sundown otherwise they won’t “allow” you to back your camper into the spot you’ve paid for, they’ll tell you you’re out of luck and that you have to go park at a gas station and wait for sun up just to be supervised in backing into your spot.
If you pay month to month and show up half way through the month they will not pro rate your stay, you’re paying for that entire month whether you’re showing up mid month or not.
If you stay in lot 60 expect to listen to ALL EIGHT of the owners dogs barking constantly at all times of day or night and roosters crowing at all times as well.
I’d highly suggest Red Bud RV across the street, where they have nicer facilities and you’re treated like an adult and you can come and go from your camp spot as you please.
Renee is very kind and helpful, as are the owners sons very kind and helpful.
The owner however is wretched.
God bless.
RV Parks are disgusting. They lower area property values and generally bring in rude vagrants that are okay with being rude to their 'temporary neighbors'. In general, they bring crime, increased risks of accidents and are an eyesore. They hold little value and legislation should be passed to start policing and setting limitations for rv park density per square mille.
This will be my first ever review, I work on the road and have stayed in several campgrounds all over and I will never be back in this one. They have god awful people running the show, they will complain over anything they can and their grounds guy that lives on the back harassed me about “speeding” a couple times when I was in my car rolling down the road without touching the gas. They complained that my truck hung out in the road why providing inadequate parking. Best to take your money and business elsewhere, it’s worth paying for a hotel rather than this trashy place
