We had my nieces graduation party in the pavilion by the baseball field. The park is still as peaceful as it has always been since back when I lived in South Fork and went to Forest Hills. The only issues I had that reduced this from 5 stars to 4 are:

1. The pavilion was swarming with wasps and appeared like it has been this way for quite some time without anyone attempting to remove them or dissuade them from nesting here

2. There are no restrooms near the ball field if you happen to be there when the museum is closed. We had a bunch of kids and a few elderly people in our group and you can only imagine the headaches of numerous walks across a road that isn't patrolled for speeders and another 200+ yard walk with small kids that can't hold it that extra 2 minutes.

3. The picnic tables, at least under the pavilion we rented, are entirely too low to the ground. I am 6'1" and I could not sit properly at any of the tables because my knees would be pressed against the underside of every one of them and made it almost impossible to get up if I had both legs under the table.
