Campsite: Badger Springs
Amazing hidden hiking spot right off 17. Easy flat 2 mile round trip to the Aqua Fría river and petroglyphs. Tons of interesting rocks and vegetation plus a crisp cool river to wade in and admire the scenery! Totally worth a stop if you are driving this way or just want to get out of Phoenix for a bit- an awesome spot.
