Campsite: Andrews AFB Military FamCamp

Good location and nice parking spots for RVs plus tent camping spots too. Offers electric only for $30 a night or full hookups at $45 a night. For electric only there is a water spigot at the dump station. Nice area near the golf course and overall fairly comfortable. Full hookup spaces all seem to be large enough for your towed vehicle as well unless the RV is huge. Overflow parking is available in those instances. Two flush toilet stalls, two changing room areas and three showers in the ladies side of the facility although as of this writing the handicap shower stall is inop and appears to have been that way for a while. Changing room and shower layout is a bit arcane and weird; and overdue a remodel. Overall the convenience of location and the surprisingly quiet nature of the area are the winners for this camping option.

Campsite: Levelland City RV Park

Clean and well kept, with fairly level paved long pull thrus that easily accommodated our overall 50' combined rig length. Close to the road and the local airport, so it can be a little noisy, but it quiets down at night.

Awesome little camping area with 7 partial hookup sites, a dump station, dumpsters, and a couple of tent sites. No other amenities, however the price can't be beat. Up to 3 nights for free and then if plans keep you in the area longer, they offer up to an additional week at $25 a night.

Shop and dine local and help keep this here!

Campsite: Laughlin AFB FamCamp

Careful following nav apps...access is via the west gate...some of the nav apps are going to try to take you to the old gate on Hwy 90 and that won't work.

Reservations highly recommended, we were here for about three weeks and there was never more than one or two spaces empty...full-up several nights.

Small park with extra long pull-through spaces accommodate all types of rigs, including one huge class A pulling a fairly long dual axle trailer that was here a few days.

Amenities: Laundry trailer is in site #21; has six huge washer dryer pairs...bring your own HE detergent, etc, or head over to the nearby Exchange to get some. Basic flush toilets are in the park adjacent to Famcamp, with cold water sinks. If you want a shower, you'll need to head over to the Losano Fitness Center several blocks away - near the Commissary. Trash is at the far end of the park near the closest restroom. Del Rio is less than 10 miles away with all the usual small city stuff you'd expect.

If you don't want to hear airplanes...keep driving, they fly a lot.

Campsite: Torrington City Pioneer Park

A gem in the middle of eastern Wyoming. Nice little city park with 14 cement pad sites with water and power plus a tent camping area. You must call the city to get the combo to unlock the water...once you dial the main number, press 9, then 2.

Dump station is over near the fire house as are the restrooms. No showers on site, that would be the only improvement I can think of that would make it a nicer stay.

Ten day max stay, and you can pay via the envelopes out front, or over the phone when you call to get the water combo. Sites are first come, first served.

We enjoyed our stay and will use again if available next time we are in the area.
