This was just a basic average campground. There was no fire ban however the campground didn’t allow fires due to dryness. You have to pay $10 just to use bath house per day. Wi-Fi in campground was ok, but could be better especially for no phone service. Absolutely no cell service, until headed back out about 2 mi towards town (Verizon/Visible). The store was conveniently stocked and had a walk in beer cooler. (12 Pack Coors Light $16) Staff were nice! A few people staying full time there for work. Sites were un-even. Short drive down to the river which was $5 day use or state park side which was unknown fee. No playground for kids. Not much to do, probably stay closer to town if passing through again.
Nice campground with decent space. Owner Janelle was very nice and friendly and helped us get checked in. We have family that stays here seasonal which most of the spots are. The “pond” was a little sketchy for us but we did swim in it one day. Looks like it is maybe filtered but it still had some weird stuff floating near the “beach”. Atmosphere was great. I gave it 4 stars because the camp security guard who drove around said we had bright lights shining that people complained about at 10:15 at night. This wasn’t the case as nobody reported it. He even got the owners husband out of bed to deal with us which wasted almost 40 min of our time. If the guard would have just moved along we would have had no issues with noise or light as we were getting ready to sit around the fire anyway. The light across from my site was brighter than the floods we had pointing to the ground to light up the bags boards before ending our games as no bags after 10pm. The strict rule of 10pm noise on a Fri, Sat night is ridiculous again no complaints towards us. I can see during the week but dang we paid almost $700 for 9 nights. Other than the noise ordnance, that’s my only complaints. We were just “weekenders” as the seasonal people call you 🤣
