Spent a night here in the middle of December and it was an absolute experience. The place (Steens and Alvord) was remote, beautiful, forbidding and a bit scary for this city person. The cabin was the perfect warm huddle to experience it from. The milkshakes are undoubtedly great, but I think the flavor lies bigly in where one finds them. I will be back here in winter again, if not anything it makes you contemplate life for a bit in a world filled with rush.
