Campsite: Sandy Ridge Camping

Gorgeous Corps of Engineers park on Lake B.A. Steinhagen. We stayed in site 46. By far the largest site we have ever stayed in. 30 amp and water. Dump station in the center of the park. Many lake side sites, 3 fishing piers and a boat dock. The hosts were very helpful and the park is well managed. Highly recommend this park. We were so surprised at how much nicer it was than the state park down the road. We like that park too but this is another level of clean.

Campsite: Spoonbill RV Park

Hidden Gem!

This small rv park is a really well kept secret. We found it by looking on Google Earth for fishing spots. They have 30/50 amp full hook ups, a long bulk head for fishing, three cleaning stations, boat ramp and a wonderful staff. If you are looking for a place to take the rv and do some serious fishing this place is for you. They have huge lights for night fishing as well. It is on the corner of the Trinity River and Galveston Bay.

The website is very outdated so that may be why they don’t get a lot of traffic but don’t let that deter you. This place is awesome. Very clean. Like if this review was helpful.
