As a solo female traveler, I loved staying at this campground. It is a gem! Clean, well thought out and safe. Was surprised by all the amenities, walking paths, dog area, playground, dump station, mix of different types of camp spots, nice bathrooms with showers and laundry. Plus close proximity to a very nice Cabela’s! Perfect place to stay travel cross country on I-80. Definitely will stay again. FCFS only, but did not have trouble getting a spot at 5 pm.
Appreciate a level place to park with hook ups on a long road trip! A few things surprised me: I may have been the only non resident, I realize it’s off season a bit (end of Oct), I was just not expecting as many residents for a park that offers electricity only October-May. I was not expecting the park to be so dark. Was glad there were a few street lights not far away to help navigate. Fair bit of traffic on the road and trains going by, but no horn blowing - all in all it was a muffled constant sound.
Overall, I would stay again mainly because of location and the electric hook up. It was a safe, quiet park-as a solo female traveler that is important to me.
