Campsite: Saddlehorn Campground — Colorado National Monument

Classic National Park system campground, with water, restrooms (no showers), no electricity and no dump station. As such, it meets all the expectations. And, as part of the National Park system, you get to be in a place that is magical. This campground sits on top of a mesa with a view down below of the towns of Fruita and Grand Junction, spectacular!! I have been to a lot of NPS campgrounds, but this is really unique because of that. Beautiful place!

Campsite: Lake Tawakoni State Park

Beautiful park, campground and lake. Campground is well developed with full hookups, campsites are nicely spaced in between the trees, providing good privacy. This is a great park for the whole family and, of course, aquatic sports lovers (fishing, water skiing, etc.). There are ample spaces for kids to play, and do picnicking. We swam in the lake. Completely enjoyed our stay there.

Campsite: Hackberry Campground — Palo Duro Canyon State Park

Great campground at the bottom of the canyon. Full hookups, well maintained, beautiful sites, and quiet. What else can you ask for?
