Campsite: Sunny Gulch Campground
hosts were super kind. the bathrooms smell great, which is a first for outside bathrooms. only downside is our site didn’t have good shade half of the day, but still enjoyed our stay.
Campsite: Preston Valley Campground
we stayed in campground 3, the view was gorgeous and it was right by the river. only downsides were the water wasn’t working and it’s close to a busy road but the river drowned out most of the noise
Campsite: Nason Creek Campground
we stayed at site 24 and loved it. we originally booked another campground but it was too close to our neighbors so we chose this instead. plenty of space and privacy. it is closer to a road but hardly anyone drove on it at night. bathroom was clean with running water but no soap. also it’s cash only and they didn’t have change so make sure to check prices and what cash you have. i would come here again.
Campsite: Cougar Rock Campground — Mount Rainier National Park
the location was awesome, we hit all the hikes early in the morning before the crowds came. site B27 had some trees to create privacy from the road, but it was pretty close to our neighbors as you can see in the photo. first night we didn’t sleep because our neighbors were extremely loud until 2 am. the second night was great since most of our neighbors left. i don’t recommend going if you like privacy and off grid camping. however it really just depends on your neighbors. bathrooms were clean with running water.
