Great place for hiking and camping. Pendernales offers primitive campsites as well as full hook-up sites. Many miles available for those that are both new and seasoned hikers. Campsites, weather primitive or not, do put you rather close to your neighbors. SOOOOOO, if you dislike people putting their nose in yo bidness, wear a scary mask.

Most people seem friendly in both camping areas.

When hiking be prepared for the garbage, there's quite a bit of trash and micro-trash all over the place. I myself picked up plastic bags, an mre bag, broken glass🤨 and several micro pieces of plastic.

Overall, staff is friendly and knowledgable- so ask questions!!!

Will return to stomp out more miles on my feet, and carefully sit on rock chairs in the future.
