I'll start with the positives: the staff in the office and the gentleman walking around in the cowboy hat (I didn't catch any names) were very polite and friendly. The bathrooms, showers, and campsites overall were also very clean.
Now the rest. We had made a reservation with an RV. The weekend before our trip to this campground the RV had some issues, so we called in during the week after finding out the repairs would take a while to make sure that we were okay to put up a pop-up tent trailer and a regular tent in the space we had reserved, while being very careful to explain the situation. We were told on the phone that the site we had was one that allowed that. After checking in I started setting things up, and about the time I had the tent setup the gentleman in the cowboy hat came by and said that we were misinformed about being able to set up a tent in that site. After he went inside to try and clear this up, an older lady walking a little Yorkie dog also stopped by and was just flat out rude while we explained what was already being dealt with by another employee. We ended up being relocated to another site, which of course required completely taking everything down and setting it back up. Through the weekend we were barely at the camp site except to sleep. We were gone before 7 AM and not back until dark just to shower and get to bed. On the way home we noticed that there was an additional charge that had been sent to our account. We called in to ask what it was for, but the employee we got was the same rude lady that we had dealt with before. She was very pointed, and again rude, in her replies to our questions about the charge, said it was for some ice that we had purchased, and argued with us about "not being clear about our situation from the beginning" with the camp relocation. It would appear that they kept our card associated with the initial site and tried to charge us for someone else's items (I'm not sure how much ice you get for $17, but I hope it was a lot), and then acted like it was our fault that it happened overall. The camp sites were in a decent condition although a lot of the power poles only have an RV plug receptacle (you'll need an adapter to use a standard extension cord), but the sites are packed in tight together and the rude treatment from the lady that we dealt with the most will keep me from ever staying here again or recommending it to anyone else. I'd rather pack a generator, bathe in a creek and stay on the side of the highway than deal with them again.
