Possibly the neatest, cleanest park we’ve ever stayed at. The possible exception would be Palisade RV park in Gunnison CO. Hard to say. The big oak trees in the park are gorgeous, and help cool things down. The commons room was spic and span. Microwave, fridge, dishes, nice tables, coffee maker. Neat as a pan. We were just staying one night, but the next morning, we had a slide that wouldn’t go in. I worked on it until 4 hrs after checkout. They weren’t going to charge, but we decided to pay and stay another night. We’ll be back for sure. Be sure to check out the famous Precious Moments Chapel nearby.
Fishing in the channel in town is a little lacking, but there is a public dock to gish on, a couple of nice marinas, and nobody to hassle you. We rode our side by side in town with a Texas sticker, snd nobody paid us any mind. Good public parking by the marina. Only a short walk to the water. As for our stay in The Park at Port Mansfield rv park, it was perfect. They meticulously groom the entire park. I saw nothing lacking. The host Ray was super. We highly recommend it.
