Campsite: COE Pat Mayse Lake Pat Mayse Park East

From US 271 take Farm Rd 906 thru Chicota, turn South on Farm Rd 197 & turn east on CR 35840 for 2 miles, which turns into 𝑷𝒂𝒕 π‘΄π’‚π’šπ’†π’” E Park Rd. It has ample signage, but no camp entry station, & only 2 loops ↝ A, & B. The camp guards were camping on loops A & B, w/ signage near their RV's &/or on their vehicles. Excellent fishing (sport fish include largemouth bass, white crappie, sunfish, striped bass, channel & flathead catfish, other common fish species) & other outdoor recreation.

🦌 During December, smaller animals like "Arney" the armadillo frequent the roadsides & campgrounds,πŸ₯šbut haven't seen any Matagots.

β›Ί Seem to be fewer campers here - more laid back than the other sites.

Campsite: Langford Lake Park

North on TX-37 out of Clarksville. A little over 0.3 miles from the US-82 overpass, just after you pass the "Flat Broke Farm," turn east on Langford Lake Rd (Co Rd 3150). The Park is spread out on Langford Lake Rd which embraces Langford Lake. The south fork of Langford Lake Rd (by the dam) is well mowed, but the facilities, including the old restrooms are generally in poor repair. There's even a port-a-potty sitting in front of the south restrooms. The north fork of Langford Lake Rd has 1 redeemable feature - the lake RV campground. The ballfields & associated facilities have thigh-high to head-high weeds growing rampant throughout. The lake is β…” choked by unchecked lily pad & pond weed infestation. Can't freely boat / fish or swim near any shore. Can only boat / fish in the middle β…“ of the lake.

𝑢𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 w𝒆𝒔𝒕 π’”π’Šπ’…π’† 𝒂𝒓𝒆:

➦ North fork Langford Lake Rd

↝ Excessively overgrown (formerly lighted?} baseball & a softball field

↝ Unusable restroom & concession facilities

↝ Typical lake RV campground loop complete w/ concrete camp pads, some w/ electrical (well mowed)

βž₯ South Fork Langford Lake Rd (by the dam) is well mowed.

↝ Lighted tennis court - excessive vine growth on fence (Could see NO nets)

↝ Lighted basketball court - shattered & bent goals

↝ 2 picnic pavilions in O.K. shape

↝ Soccer field w/ untamed weeds overtaking the bleachers

𝑢𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 π’”π’Šπ’…π’†:

↝ Public boat ramp w/ paved parking lot

↝ Ken Bishop Memorial Nature Trail

↝ Picnic pavilion for Nature Trail
